SHE SWATTED THE ROACH FOR ME
by Araw Sun
I wasn’t equipped with the right tools – you greet
That smile simply can’t be shaken off.
All I knew was that I hurried – not to you but I don’t know who
Carrying the feeling of fear, I could not picture myself before you – everything stopped – as if its normal,
you were right at the door
you were a little crouched,
you stood at my presence – calmly I felt surprised – still anxious …
I said “may ipis sa banyo patayin mo!” She looked pleased and sighed.
I reverted, “got damn it IS HER” with dark blue jeans, white shirt with shinning yellow tribal lines,
lips were as red as hell – it is YOU – as if I slept for years and still you were there everything was at plain sight, as if this was going on even before I knew anything of it!
So you followed me “sa banyo” and pointed you the roach – it was getting close to us – hahaha! We scrambled! But you were right back on your feet.
You picked the nearest slipper and pounced at the vermin!
“paluin mo pa!” I said. And she was so cute “patay na ‘yan” “Hindi pa!” I contested. And like a zombie the roach grew and had big horns on is ass
She was lightning fast and killed it before it grew out pf proportions.
“Whew!” she said

We were so quiet. Only breaths. You were sweating. I could already smell you.
Immaculate scent were have you come from.
